We started this school year with a trip to Ireland. Our class 5hwb plus teachers embarked on an unforgettable school trip to Dublin, Ireland. The adventure kicked off with a rather early flight on Tuesday morning.
For the entire week, we were hosted by local families which offered us a unique experience of Irish culture. Mornings were spent at the Babel Academy where the lessons were engaging and interactive.
Our afternoon activities included a tour through the city center of Dublin; a thrilling Howth Cliff walking tour with its breathtaking view of the Irish sea; a fabulous visit to a traditional Irish sheep farm allowing us to get up close and personal with adorable sheep and a sheepdog demonstration; an outdoor adventure with a hike through the scenic Glendalough valley with the ancient settlement of St. Kevin; a beach walk through Sandycove with its highlight the James Joyce tower where we gained insights into the life of an iconic Irish author and had a great view of the coastline; the EPIC museum and the Jeanie Johnston Famine Ship which provided a glimpse into the tragic history of the Irish Famine; at Teeling’s distillery we had the privilege to go behind scenes to see the whiskey making process at first hand. These were just some of our activities during our one-week stay in Ireland.
Our class trip to Dublin was an enriching and unforgettable experience, combining cultural exploration, outdoor adventures, and educational opportunities. It was grand 😊
